  • Introduction
  • Day 01 - Airport - Dambulla - Habarana
    Arrive by flight and you will be transferred to the arrival terminal. Please clear immigration & visa formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the arrival lounge through the green channel if you do not have goods to be declared to customs. You will meet one of the Representatives of Apple Vacations will assist you as he will be having a paging board with your name in the meeting area, and he will introduce you to your own English speaking chauffeur guide who will transfer you to the hotel in Dambulla/Habarana. (Pick up at airport or Colombo City)

    En-route visit the Dambulla Cave Temple.

    The Rock Temple of Dambulla, called Jumbukola Vihara (Dambulla Cave Temple) in the (Mahavamsa)-the principal Pali Chronicle of Sri Lanka, is situated about forty seven miles north west of Kandy, the last capital of the Sinhalese kings, on the main road to Anuradhupura. Dambulla is a scent of unique interest. Its rock temples are the most extensive in the Island, and one of the most ancient, and in the highest state of preservation and order.

  • Day 02 – Dambulla - Sigiriya - Minneriya
    After the Breakfast at the hotel Head on to visit Sigiriya

    Rising significantly from the focal fields, the confounding rough outcrop of Sigiriya is maybe Sri Lanka's single most emotional sight.     Transfer from Sigiriya to Polonnaruwa

    Gal Vihara (Sinhala: stone temple), Buddhist Temple at (UNESCO World Heritage Site) at Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka is the most perfect specimen of Buddha statue hewn out of solid stone. Crafted during the reign of King Parakrabahu (1153-1186 A.C), Gal Vihara statues are still in complete preservation with their irresistible charm and sublimity. It is undeniable that the sculptors of Gal Vihara were of greater skill and expertise in the art of stone sculpture in Sri Lanka. The images at Gal Vihara have brought about higher level of awakening in the observers with respect of Buddhist art in Sri Lanka.

    Royal Palace This group of buildings dates from the period of King Parakramabahu I (1153 – 1186). The King`s Royal Palace is a massive structure, measuring 31 m by 13 m, once including 50 rooms supported by 30 columns. Even today it is quite an impressive building, but picture it being seven floors tall with 3 m thick walls, as the archaeologist’s claim it once was!

    Lankatilaka One of the most evocative structures in Polonnaruwa, the Lankatilaka temple was built by Parakramabahu I and later restored by Vijayabahu IV. This massive gedige (stone Buddhist temple with corbelled roof and thick walls) has 17m-high walls, although the roof has collapsed. 

    Late afternoon Visit to the Minneriya National Park for Jeep Safari.

    Safari at Minneriya National Park is one of best spot to capture wiled-animals in Sri Lanka. It is home to 200+ elephants, monkeys, crocodiles and even a handful of leopards. See why this is the best national park in Sri Lanka. Explore the largest known meeting place of Asian Elephants in the world. During this period herds, up to 300 elephants are seen at the 8,890-hectare park within a few square kilometers of the Minneriya Reservoir. In August and September each year during the dry season, wild elephants from the surrounding wilderness in search of food and water, make their way to the shores of the Minneriya Reservoir adjoining the Minneriya National Park. A huge herd of elephants, sometimes numbering up to 300, converge together within a few square kilometers of the lake .

  • Day 03 - Dambulla - Habarana - Matale – Kandy
    After the Breakfast at the hotel & transfer to Matale.

    Visit a Spice Garden in Matale to see different spices for which Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed. Also witness a cookery demonstration. Clients will be offered a free head and a shoulder oil massage for 5 minutes and a typical rice and curry lunch will be served.
    After that transfer from Matale to Kandy.
    Kandy is the hill capital Venue of the annual Perahera. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of the Buddhism’s influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple’s shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere.
    Next Visit to Temple of the sacred tooth relic
    The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha. During puja(offerings or prayers), the heavily guarded room housing the tooth is open to devotees and tourists. However, you don’t actually see the tooth. It’s kept in a gold casket shaped like a dagoba (stupa), which contains a series of six dagoba caskets of diminishing size. As well as the revered main temple, the complex includes a series of smaller temples, shrines and museums.

  • Day 04 - Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
    After the Breakfast at the hotel Journey head on to Greeny highland City name Called Nuwara Eliya (little England)

    On the way to Ella stop at tea factory.
    You will be treated to breathtaking views of tea estates! Make your way through the maze of tea bushes and discover where the elixirs of Sri Lanka come from. There are many tea plantations and tea factories that will be more than happy to show you around, and explain the tea plucking and tea-making processes as well as let you try some of their freshly brewed tea! A truly Sri Lankan experience. Once arrive to Nuwara Eliya (little England) Visit to Hindu Temple & relax at Gregory Lake

  • Day 05 - Nuwara Eliya – Ella
    After the Breakfast at the hotel Journey head on to highland City name Called Ella Proceed to Ella by "Podi Menike" train (Travel time of approximately 04 hours)

    Train journeys are real cultural experiences and the most scenic routes will be highlights of your visit - in particular the wonderful journey from Nuwara Eliya (Nanu Oya Train Station) to Ella which will travel through man made tunnels, beautiful mountains and tea plantations in the hill country. The scenery from the train is breathtaking! Like a green carpet of tea bushes rolling by, with colorful sari-dressed tea pickers popping out of the sea of green.

  • Day 06 - Ella – Yala

    Early morning visit to Little Adams peak - Adam's Peak Bridge, Sri Lanka, spans a picturesque gorge. Its arched design complements the natural beauty.

    After the Breakfast at the hotel Journey starts towards Yala. Nine Arch Bridge in Sri Lanka is a stunning colonial-era railway viaduct, renowned for its nine exquisite stone arches amidst lush greenery.

    Yala National Park is a huge area of forest, grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean, in southeast Sri Lanka. Its home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species. Inland, Sithulpawwa is an ancient Buddhist monastery. Nearby caves contain centuries-old rock paintings. Southwest, Magul Maha Viharaya also has ancient Buddhist ruins. Both are pilgrimage sites.

  • Day 07 - Yala – Galle - Colombo
    After the Breakfast at the hotel & Proceed to Colombo

    Galle - Sri Lanka’s most historically interesting town is Galle. It was a major port until about 100 years, but today still handles shipping and sailing boats in the natural harbour. Stroll around the lighthouse and harbour or visit the old town where you can see the traditional lace makers and wood carvers and purchase some the finest souvenirs.

    The Dutch Fort or Dutch Fort as it is also known, is a fortification first built by the Portugese on the Southwestern coast of Sri Lanka. The initial fortifications, which were built in the late 16th century, were quite basic. According to a statement by UNESCO the site was recognized as a World Heritage Site for its unique exposition of an urban ensemble which illustrates the interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries which is the criteterion number four for such recognition.

    The Galle lighthouse is situated inside the landmark Galle Fort. It is built seven meters above the road on the ramparts. This is Sri Lanka’s oldest light station dating back to 1848, but the original lighthouse was destroyed by fire in 1934. It was rebuilt at the current height of 26m. The light station is within the walls of the ancient Galle fort, a UNESCO world heritage site and well known tourist attraction, making this the country’s most often visited lighthouse.

    Arrive in Colombo and proceed with a city tour.

    Explore Colombo which is situated on the west coast of the island, just south of the Kelani River, Colombo is a principal port of the Indian Ocean. It has one of the largest artificial harbors in the world and handles the majority of Sri Lanka’s foreign trade.
