Itinerary
  • Introduction
  • Day 01 - Colombo - Kandy
    Arrive by flight and you will be transferred to the arrival terminal. Please clear immigration & visa formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the arrival lounge through the green channel if you do not have goods to be declared to customs. You will meet one of the Representatives of Apple Vacations will assist you as he will be having a paging board with your name in the meeting area, and he will introduce you to your own English speaking chauffeur guide who will transfer you to the hotel in Kotugoda. (Pick up at airport or Colombo City)

    The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha. During puja (offerings or prayers), the heavily guarded room housing the tooth is open to devotees and tourists. However, you don’t actually see the tooth. It’s kept in a gold casket shaped like a dagoba (stupa), which contains a series of six dagoba caskets of diminishing size. As well as the revered main temple, the complex includes a series of smaller temples, shrines and museums.

    Kandy Lake - Kandy Lake, also known as Kiri Muhuda or the Sea of Milk, is an artificial lake in the heart of the hill city of Kandy, Sri Lanka, built in 1807 by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe next to the Temple of the Tooth. Over the years, it was reduced in size. It is a protected lake, with fishing banned. There are many legends and folklore regarding the lake. One such is that the small island at its center was used by the king’s helm for bathing and was connected to the palace by secret tunnel.

  • Day 02 - Kandy - Dambulla - Sigiriya - Kandy
    After the Breakfast at the hotel & Visit to Sigiriya,

    Kandy view point - Climb the hill by Kandy Lake to reach Kandy view point and receive a view of the city that cannot be beaten. As a popular tourist spot, the area brings in a large amount of peddlers, though they often sell sub-par items. The area also has a reputation for high pickpocket activity, so keep an eye on your belongings. From the hill, you can enjoy great views over the lake and the city as a whole.

    There after visit to Dambulla.

    The Rock Temple -The Rock Temple of Dambulla, called Jumbukola Vihara (Dambulla Cave Temple) in the (Mahavamsa)-the principal Pali Chronicle of Sri Lanka, is situated about forty seven miles north west of Kandy, the last capital of the Sinhalese kings, on the main road to Anuradhupura. Dambulla is a scent of unique interest. Its rock temples are the most extensive in the Island, and one of the most ancient, and in the highest state of preservation and order.

    Next visit to Sigiriya Rock,

  • Day 03 - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Ella
    After breakfast at the hotel, Head to Ella,

    Horton Plains - Horton Plains in Sri Lanka, is the coldest and windiest location in the country. It consists of ecosystems such as montane evergreen forests, grasslands, marshy lands and aquatic ecosystem. In view of the large number of endemic flora and fauna species, Horton Plains was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 30th July 2010.

    Tea Factory - To see where your morning cuppa starts, head to the Pedro Tea Estate, about 3.5km east of Nuwara Eliya while in transit to Kandapola. You can take a 20-minute guided voyage through the processing plant, initially implicit 1885 and still stuffed with nineteenth century building. In any case, because of the kind of tea delivered here (a light tea), preparing possibly happens around evening time when it's colder, so you're probably not going to see much activity.

  • Day 04 - Ella Sightseeing
    After the Breakfast at hotel, tour starts towards Ella,

    Nine Arch Bridge - The Nine Arch Bridge in Ella is on the Demodara loop and spans 91 meters at a height of 24m. The beautiful nine arches make it a very picturesque spot especially as it is located in a dense jungle and agricultural setting. Behind the railway, a forest is booming and below, tea leaves are being cultivated.

    Little Adam’s Peak - Little Adam’s Peak attracts many travelers who come to Sri Lanka. Gradually with an easy hike up to the mountain of Little Adams Peak, you can consummation a worth panoramic view. Ella in Sri Lanka is a very well known worldwide for its breathtaking view and scenery, Little Adam’s Peak is just one of it. The eye catching, jaw dropping and conspicuous peak is the one not to miss, Situated in Ella, Sri Lanka, it has been attracting tourists for a long time now. The reason for its popularity is the amazing view that never fails to attract and impress the visitors.

  • Day 05 - Ella - Yala Safari - Mirissa
    After the Breakfast at hotel, Journey head on to Mirissa

    Yala National Park is a huge area of forest, grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean, in southeast Sri Lanka. Its home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles and hundreds of bird species. Inland, Sithulpawwa is an ancient Buddhist monastery. Nearby caves contain centuries-old rock paintings. Southwest, Magul Maha Viharaya also has ancient Buddhist ruins. Both are pilgrimage sites.

    After Yala National Park visit you will go to Mirissa.

  • Day 06 - Mirissa - Galle - Bentota
    After breakfast at the hotel & Visit to Mirissa Whale Watching.

    Mirissa is famous for its sands and waves, but there's far more beneath the surface: an incredible array of sea mammals can be found off its coast. Join a whale and dolphin watching boat in seeking out some of the species that frequent Sri Lanka's waters and watch them swim and play in their natural habitat. Out in the waters, you might be able to spot the largest animal in the world: the blue whale. You may also see massive Bryde's whales, long sperm whales with their calves, spearlike Fin whales, and the intimidating Orca, or killer whales. The experience is a purely responsible one: you will not be disturbing the whales in their habitat and simply watch their pods swim along. This goes the same for the dolphins (among them common, bottlenose, spinner, striped, and Risso's dolphins) who will be playing and leaping from the water as they play in the bow waves. It's an unforgettable experience and a must-see for children!

    Dutch Reformed Church - Originally built in 1640, the present building dates from 1752. Its floor is paved with gravestones from Dutch cemeteries, while other impressive features include the organ and an imposing pulpit made from calamander wood and topped by a grand hexagonal canopy.

    Black Fort - The history of the Galle Fort goes back to 1588 when king Rajasinghe I (1581–93) of Sitawaka attacked the Portuguese capital of Colombo forcing them to retreat to Galle, one of the flourishing ports from the ancient times. Here they built a small fort out of palm trees, coral stones and mud. They called it the Santa Cruz and later in 1625, extended it with a watch tower and three bastions and a Fortaleza to guard the harbour.

  • Day 07 - Bentota - Colombo
    After breakfast at the hotel Transfer to Colombo,

    Bentota Beach - If you are looking to spend your holidays and give yourself a calm and natural treat, with no bars and restaurants, this is the most refreshing and relaxing site. The Bentota Beach which extends across 7-8 kilometers is truly a symbol of peace, calmness and cleanness. One of its strongest points is its quiet surroundings which, according to many people, run the natural and relaxing environment of the beach. There is plenty of space of everyone to settle in perfectly and enjoy the sun bath to the fullest.

    Bentota bazaar -The Bentota bazaar is a government approved shopping area where you can pick up souvenir items, wooden carvings, batik and brassware. In addition, there is also a Tourist Board Office, Tourist Police station, Post Office and a Bank of Ceylon.
